"Treasure"
the Carousel / Garden Horse
(made from my grandsons
old rocking horse; my Mom's old costume jewelry; and found objects)
I am an artist. I have been a
creative soul for as long as I can remember.
I am a recycler. We love our
environment. We hate waste. My multi-media creations obviously are derived from
this trait.
I am a gardener. A very SERIOUS
gardener. I adore flowers, lots of color, and LOTS of fun yard art.
I am a junk specialist. My
degree has come from many years of accumulation.
All
of the above has evolved into the Art of Recycling.
It's
Hypertufa using
every day items to create unusual pots, garden art, lanterns, and water
features.
It's
assemblages. Using
found objects or sentimental pieces to create personal and unique art.
It's
sculptures. From
miniatures and jewelry to water fountains and carousel horses for the garden.
It's
mosaics. A natural
progression for a junk / sculptor / concrete artist.

I
am a totally southern, extremely amusing, hardheaded, penny pinchin' woman that
sees a continuous stream of creativity in what others discard. Most of all, I
see the creativity in people. (Probably years of working with volunteers and
watching talent abound when given the opportunity) After years of public
speaking it has all come together. I have become a teacher, speaker and garden
coach. I love to share. Share with me...........The Art of Recycling.
