We were reconstructing a pond/waterfall at the same time we were laying the patio. We had dug a hole, lined it with black plastic, and stacked some rocks to create a waterfall. For a year I had looked for ways to improve this little pond and waterfall. Hypertufa was the answer for creating a stone-like appearance in the bottom of the pond. To get more water noise, the fall needed adjustments. We covered an old sink to create a basin, used tufa to mortar what rocks we had found in the woods.

We now have a wonderful little waterfall that we can hear from our bedroom window. My precious grandson and I have spent many an afternoon swinging over the pond, telling stories, or just watching the fish. My niece even got married beside the waterfall.
